What happens if you have a gen 3 pokemon on your team and try to trade it? Does it crash?

would this work with a DS lite and gameboy advance? so run the ROM on the gameboy advance and the pkmn game on the ds lite?

Not having a device that can do that is the only thing that keeps me from playing every pokemon games on their original game console. The idea of being able to transfer a Gen 1-2 pokemon all the way to pokemon home is the wildest dream of any OG pokemon player.

I just happen to have kept the only english gba pokemon game i have, also have an everdrive, and somehow also have my very OG 20y+ still functioning link cable. Is this video my birthday gift? All joking aside, fantastic job you did there.

For the region data to be as legitimate as possible, seeing as most Gen 2 Pokémon are only available from the GameCube games in Gen 3, wouldn’t it be easier to make the region value for Johto Pokémon to be the same region value as Johto in Gen 4? I know that at least Platinum does have a value for Johto that shows on the summary screen. I’m not sure about Diamond or Pearl though, as I don’t currently have Diamond on me so I can’t check. Although even if Diamond and Pearl don’t have the values marked as anything, it should show up correctly when sent to Gen 5 since you can trade Johto Pokémon to Diamond and Pearl. The only thing would be whether it would keep the Johto value the same on transfer to Gen 4.

Can this done by loading the Roms on to an Analogue Pocket sent through a gba link cable to a legit emerald cartridge? I don’t have the WiFi adapter for the original hardware.

I can't seem to get the app to work correctly. I installed python, pip, tk and ttkwidgets, the app launches but when I press "Calculate" or "Clear" nothing happens. Any idea what my problem might be?

can i ask for a bit of information about how the pokemon is decided in the 5th anniversary eggs? as far as i understand the game uses the first two advances to generate a number between 0 and 999, but how are those two advances combined to get that number? my first guess was forming a 32-bit number out of the first halves of the first two advances then taking it modulo 1000 but that doesn't seem to give consistent results with known iron defense bagon seeds. i tried generating bagons with a couple different methods but haven't had any luck.

What happens if you do a reverse trade chain, like this: gen 3 to gen 2 to gen 1. From Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green to Pokemon Red/Blue.

When invalid held item or move is detected it should set nickname of that pokemon to an error message and cancel the trade instead of deleting it

Naming your gen 2 rival ??? is the only correct answer

Shouldn't IV be equal to 2*DV+1 instead of just 2*DV? Pokémon GO uses first formula and Pokémon with 15 in any stat will have 31 in it when transferred to Pokémon HOME.

With those odds, it's insane that I actually found that island as a kid.
